The Wonders of Physics program does not receive regular funding from the University of Wisconsin. In the past, 90 percent of our funding came from federal research grants: the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences of the United States Department of Energy, and the National Science Foundation. Our NSF funding has ended, and our DOE funding has been scaled back. We need to replace about 70 percent of our budget to continue.
Our program serves thousands of kids every year, and there are thousands more passionate young scientists that we are unable to reach. We are committed to sharing all the wonders that physics has to offer, but we need your help.
The Wonders of Physics is a non-profit organization and your donations are tax-deductible. We would like to thank you for considering this opportunity to ensure the success of this program. If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Wonders of Physics Program, through the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, has a matching pledge from an anonymous donor. This is a one-to-one match of gifts from individuals during 2016. The total matching contribution is $15,000.
