Frequently asked questions about scheduling a Wonders of Physics show:
What is a Wonders of Physics Show?
A Wonders of Physics show is a 45-60 minute physics demonstration show, featuring fun, engaging, and educational demonstrations that are great for students and adults of all ages. Shows cover a broad range of physics topics, including motion, heat, light, sound, electricity, and magnetism. Audience participation is encouraged!
How much does it cost?
Effective September 1, 2014: The cost of the first show will be $500, and $250 for each additional show on the same day. Additional travel costs will be added for shows outside of Dane County, WI.
The Wonders of Physics receives only limited funding from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For years, about 90 percent of our support came from Department of Energy and National Science Foundation grants. Due to budget cuts at the federal level, both of these funding streams are ending. The Wonders of Physics is actively seeking support to replace and increase our funding, allowing us to keep our prices low, while expanding our programs throughout Wisconsin, reaching thousands more passionate young scientists.
